This week in reading, we are discussing point of view and perspective. Remember, perspective is different characters point of view. This will impact the way a story is told. Point of view is the perspective from which a piece of text is written or told. I would like you to watch a clip from the movie "Toy Story 3" below. In the comment section below I would like you answer the following questions. 1. There are several different perspectives in this scene. Please list all the different perspectives you can find. # 2-4 Read the passages below (by click on the blue button) and tell the perspective and the point of view for each passage. 5. How do the different perspectives effect how each story is told?

1.Andy is first person because he is one of the main character's expressing his feeling to his mom and they are using key word like he and she, them, I. The sister is third person because she is just being one of those people in movies just in the back around and they just talk a little. And the mom is the one that is third person also she is just expressing her feeling about Andy going to collage and she is third person. And Woody is sad that Andy is leaving also and expressing his felling's so he Is third person to he is in this scene. 2.The first passage is first person because the guy is talking about himself using key words like I, me ,and that stuff. In the second passage it is third person, why it has who ever the persons mom is talking about his son when he was younger like she saw him playing with his toy like it was yesterday. Finally the third passage describes woody peeking through a card board box watching Andy and all his family members say goodbye to him. And woody is sad because Woody will not have anyone to play with and this is third person because it is about someone describing someone else.

1. One perspective was sad because the mom was sad to see her son leaving for college. Another perspective was the excited boy going to college. Woody was sad too because he was leaving all of his toy friends behind.
