## Example

**sample answer:**

multiples of 9- 9,18,27,36,45

multiples of 5- 5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45

5/5 x 7/9 = 35/45

9/9 x 4/5 = 36/45

35/45 < 36/45 or 7/9 < 4/5

Charles bought more on his shopping list. 4/5 is greater than 7/9 because when I found equivalent fractions with the least common multiple of 45, I know 36 is bigger than 35. This proves Charles bought more on his list.
