Thanksgiving is Thursday! I can't wait to sit back and enjoy the delicious meal my mom makes! You have until Thursday to write me a persuasive letter convincing me to NOT eat the turkey. Check out the photos below to remind you about persuasive writing, friendly letter format, and an example of a persuasive letter. The example letter is written from the turkey's perspective. This week you were asked to create a bumper sticker about the theme of your book. What I noticed is this was very difficult for some of you. Choose one major conflict in your country's history and write a short response describing life as it might have been had that conflict never taken place. Please no less than 10 sentences. As you know, we have been discussing multiplication and division during Math. This week, we are really going to focus on division. Yesterday, we practiced long division and today you should have practiced using the partial quotient method. Need a quick review? Check out the videos below. I want you to check the problem and see if it was solved correctly. Explain any/all mistakes you notice. Be sure to write in complete sentences.
